Question: I was told that I need to clear my Web browser's cache. How do I do that?

Answer: For Internet Explorer 8 on the PC, go to the toolbar:

* Select Tools.

* Select Internet Options.

* Click the General tab, then Delete in the Browsing History Section.

Make sure that Preserve Favorites website data is not checked. If you leave it checked, then all of your cache will be deleted except your favorites' history.

Be sure to quit out of Internet Explorer and restart your computer once you've cleared the Web browser cache. This is very important so that old and potentially corrupt information is not accidentally pulled from memory once you clear the cache.

In Firefox on a PC, go to the toolbar:

* Select Tools.

* Select Options.

* Click Advanced.

* Click Network.

* Go to Cache and click on the Clear Cache Now button.

* Quit out of Firefox. Your cache is now cleared.

In Firefox on a Mac:

* Select Firefox. * Choose Preferences.

* Click Advanced.

* Go to Network.

* Click the Clear Now button in the Cache section.

* Quit out of Firefox. Your cache is now cleared.

In Safari, simply select Empty Cache... from the Safari menu. Quit out of Safari. Your cache is now cleared.
