Welcome

Welcome to Introduction to Methods of Health Services Research and Evaluation. This course will introduce you to the basic methods for undertaking research and program evaluation within health services organizations and systems. You will find this knowledge invaluable if you will be carrying out policy research, social science research, or program impact evaluation within health delivery systems. It will also be relevant if you will be applying the results of Health Services Research (HSR) done by others.

Over the course of the next 16 weeks, you will learn about the importance of health service research and evaluation through a series of lectures, course readings, and laboratory exercises. Small group interaction will be integral to the process.
