Introduction to Online Learning: Course Home

Welcome

This is a free, non-credit mini course.
This course is a prerequisite for all online courses offered by the Bloomberg School of Public Health.
You must complete this course before enrolling in an online course.

Please note that registration for this course closes at 11:59pm on the first Friday of the class.

Everything in this course is done online. There is nothing that requires you to be in a classroom or in Baltimore.
This course takes between 1-4 hours to complete, depending on your skills working online.
With the notable exception of LiveTalks, you can do the class work on your own schedule.

If you plan to take an online course in the first academic term, the August offering of IOL is your last chance to complete the course before the start of the first term.

If you plan to take an online course in the second academic term, the October offering of IOL is your last chance to complete the course before the start of the second term.

Although the course's exercises may be completed at any point before midnight of the course end date, you must attend one of the three scheduled LiveTalk sessions in order to meet the requirements of the course.
